GERUND

Gerund is a V-ing which functions as a noun.

1.       Gerund as a subject

Gerund + be + adjective

Gerund + verb + (object) + ...

Examples:

1.It is necessary to spend money wisely.

Subject + Certain verb + gerund

 

Certain verbs  which can only be followed by V- ing (gerund) are:

Admit, appropriate, avoid, consider, delay, discuss, enjoy, finish, give up, keep, mention, mind, postpone, put off, quit, suggest
