EXPRESSION OF SADNESS

Study the dialogue, then practice it.

Yulia: “Hi .... Richard”

Richard: “ Hello ...., Yulia”

Yulia: “ You look so awful. Why do you ask me to come here?”

Richard: “ I want to share with you.”

Yulia: “What is the problem?”

Richard: “ I am very sad because my father is sick.”

Yulia: “I am sorry to hear that.”

Richard:”Thank you. And I have another problem.”

Richard: “What is that? Share it with me!”

Yulia: “Next week we have to pay the school monthly fee, but I don’t have any money. What should I do?”

Yulia: “It’s easy. I still have some money. You can use it. “

Richard: “No. I do not need that.”

Yulia: “Why not? Come on ... you are my best friend. I am happy if I can help you.”

Richard: “Thank you.”

Yulia: “Don’t mention it! Now, just smile. And I hope your father will be better soon.”

Richard:”Thank you. Yulia. You are really my best friend.”

The bold typed sentence in the dialogue above is used to express sadness.

The expression of sadness is used when there is a bad thing happens to us.

Study the following expression!

·      I am very sad.

·      I am really sad.

·      Leave me alone!

·      Nobody knows my sorrow.

·      No one takes care with my sadness.

·      I am in a deep sad.

·      I am in a deep sorrow.

·      I am feeling sad now.

·      I can not stand with this situation.

Another news told about the broken bridge that caused the accident.” Vina: “You know I love travelling but the high rate of transportation accidents discourages me a lot.” Lia: “The fact shows that the careless bus drivers have caused a lot of accidents but you don’t have to stop traveling, do you?
